What it is and what's in the box.

What is OMEMO.global?

A bundled product: a global data eSIM plus a lifetime install of the OMEMO secure-messaging app. One purchase, one checkout, one payment method of your choice. Built so you can travel with the same level of privacy you have at home.

What is the OMEMO app?

An open-source secure-messaging client that uses the OMEMO end-to-end encryption protocol. Your messages, calls, and shared files are encrypted on your device before they leave it — we can't read them, and neither can anyone else along the way. Available on Google Play and F-Droid.

Activation, devices, coverage, and edge cases.

How does the eSIM work?

After payment, you get an email with a QR code. Scan it from your phone's settings (iPhone or Android) and the eSIM installs in seconds. No physical SIM, no shipping. The same QR + activation code is also shown on your order's self-serve status page — bookmark it.

Will it work on my phone?

Any eSIM-capable phone. That includes iPhone XS and newer, recent Pixel and Galaxy devices, and most flagship Android phones from 2020 onward. If your phone has a setting called Add eSIM or Mobile data plan, you're good.

How fast is activation?

Under a minute in the typical case. Payment confirms (a few seconds for cards, one block for BTC, a few blocks for ETH/USDT/ZEC), our provisioning step runs, and the QR lands in your inbox.

What countries does it cover?

130+ countries on the global plan, with automatic switching as you cross borders. The exact country list is set by our network partner and updated regularly.

What if I lose my activation code?

Your status page (the link in your order email) holds the activation code permanently. If you've lost both the email and the link, contact us with the email address you bought with and we'll re-send.

Can I install the eSIM on multiple devices?

No — the activation code is single-use. Once installed on a device, it's tied to that device's eSIM slot. If you need to transfer to a new phone, contact us.

Is this legal in my country?

eSIMs and end-to-end encrypted messaging are legal in most jurisdictions. A handful of countries restrict roaming SIMs or encrypted messaging — it's your responsibility to know your local rules. We don't sell to sanctioned countries.

Payments & refunds

How we get paid and what happens if something goes sideways.

Why pay with crypto?

Two reasons. First, fewer middlemen — your payment doesn't need to involve a bank or card network. Second, fewer ties between you and your purchase — we ask for an email for delivery, and that's it. We support BTC, ETH, USDT (TRC-20), and ZEC. Card payments via Stripe are also available.

Refunds?

If your eSIM never activates because of something on our end, we'll refund or re-issue it — your call. If you've activated and used data, we don't refund partial usage. Contact us at hi@omemo.globalwith your order reference and we'll sort it.

Privacy & encryption

Encryption guarantees and what we (and don't) log.

Is messaging really end-to-end encrypted?

Yes. End-to-end encryption means only your device and the recipient's device hold the keys to decrypt the message. Servers (ours included) only see ciphertext. The protocol is open, has been peer-reviewed, and the app source is public.

What data do you log?

The minimum needed to deliver and support your order: customer email, order reference, plan, payment method, and timestamps. We don't run analytics on this site, we don't embed third-party tracking scripts, and we don't resell or share your data.

Crypto payments are recorded on the public chain — that's outside our control. Card payments go through Stripe, subject to their privacy policy. eSIM provisioning involves our network partner; they see the activation identifiers but not your name or address.
